With DSE Monitoring, our customer combined a water meter and a unit counter on an industrial parts washer. In this way, they could quickly see a consumption level of approx. 25-30 liters of demineralized water per unit.
When this number was revealed and shared with the internal experts, it was obvious to them that the per-unit-consumption was way too high. Without any unnecessary interruptions, the process was adjusted and optimized. This resulted in an 80% reduction of the very expensive demineralized water.
Furthermore, it takes 2-3 liters of clean drinking water to make one liter of demineralized water, so the saving of fine, clean drinking water is just a very rewarding side effect.
